Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass's 1965 arrangement of this ballad already made famous in a more downbeat version by the Beatles in 1963 (although not penned by Lennon & McCartney) was matchless - upbeat, a hint of mariachi, very sixties. The clip is dreadful and they're obviously just pretending to play to the recording, but Herbert was a real eyeful.
